This policy explains what Compass collects, why it is needed, and how a verified account holder can export or delete account-linked data.

Who operates Compass
Compass is an independent exam-preparation product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official service of any exam provider, immigration authority, Apple, Google, or Stripe. supportUrl is the contact point for privacy requests.
Account and transaction data
Compass processes your email address, locale, authentication sessions, access grants, transaction references, product identifiers, and support history. Compass does not store full payment-card details. Stripe, Apple, or Google Play processes payment information under its own privacy terms.
Practice and progress data
Compass stores objective answers, timing, confidence, progress, diagnostic and mock state, and saved writing drafts. Writing responses are saved but not graded, receive no automated feedback, and do not contribute an official score. Speaking practice is self-directed: it is not recorded, not uploaded, not transcribed, graded, or scored; only a literal completion marker may be saved.
Purposes and legal basis
Data is used to provide accounts, enforce lifetime free allowances, save and synchronize practice, verify fixed-duration access, prevent abuse, answer support requests, meet tax and accounting duties, and improve Compass through consented analytics.
Retention and safeguards
Active account data is retained while the account is used or while needed to provide the service. Optional raw analytics is deleted after 90 days. Security, tax, refund, and transaction records may be retained where law requires. Encrypted backups age out under the production backup-retention schedule and are not restored to recreate a deleted account.
Export, correction, and deletion
A signed-in learner can export account and learning data. Permanent deletion requires fresh authentication and explicit confirmation, removes account-linked answers, writing drafts, speaking completion markers, sessions, and analytics, and sends a completion email. A fixed-duration pass does not need to be cancelled before deletion.

Use privacyUrl for the current policy, deletionUrl for deletion instructions, and supportUrl for access, correction, deletion, or complaint requests. Material changes receive a new version and effective date.

The export contains your account and learning data. Irreversible deletion erases account-linked answers, writing drafts, and speaking completion markers.
