What the result can—and cannot—mean

This explorer maps an entered objective-section score through published reference bands. It does not estimate a missing score or assess Speaking.

Compass provides original practice for Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Speaking practice is not assessed, so there is no overall or official result.

Three interpretation rules

  1. Read every skill separately because benchmark thresholds differ by section.
  2. Treat the benchmark as a reference, not proof that a program requirement is met.
  3. Use practice evidence to choose the next skill to train, never to fill an application form.

Frequently asked questions

Can a practice mark be entered here?

No. Use a score already reported by the testing organization; Compass practice estimates have different uncertainty.

Does one strong section create an overall benchmark?

No. Programs evaluate required abilities separately, and Compass does not assess Speaking.

Can this decide immigration eligibility?

No. Only the responsible authority can apply current program rules to a complete official file.
